Survey Results Reveal 1 in 4 Australian Teens Have Been Bullied Via Their Mobile; 86% Receiving Offensive Text Messages
Asurvey released today from girlfriend.com.au* reveals that bullying hastaken on new forms in recent years, shifting from the classroom andplaygrounds to the digital and mobile worlds. The survey found that 24%of Australian youth between 13-18 years old have been cyber bullied viatext messages. In sign of the times the same survey revealed nearly 90%of mobile harassment was reportedly received via text, surpassing prank(66%) and abusive phone calls (42%).
